Liz integrates decades of experience as a voice teacher, singer, sound engineer, researcher, and mentor to connect with each student exactly as they are. Her diverse career and interests have spanned across genres and disciplines ranging from vocal jazz to heavy metal; synesthesia to acoustic principles; queer advocacy to gender-affirming voice care.
Her first book, One Weird Trick: A User’s Guide to Transgender Voices is used across the globe as a teaching tool for individuals, practitioners, and academic institutions. Together with co-author Brian Kremer, The Singing Teacher’s Guide to Transgender Voices (2nd ed 2026) delves into the cultural and technical foundations of gender-inclusive and affirming pedagogy.
